With the return of the iconic Arsenal ‘bruised banana’ and a new United shirt which pays tribute to the ‘Treble winners,’ it’s safe to say that the 90s is having a bit of a moment right now. To continue the retro resurgence, adidas is bringing out five fresh new colourways of one of its best-loved silhouettes; the Ozweego.

Originally designed in 1996, the Ozweego was envisaged as a new-wave running shoe; the slightly chunky silhouette and aggressive-styling made the shoe an instant hit. So much so, that between 1996 and 2000 there was four different versions of the Ozweego before Adidas ended production on the turn of the millennium.

The silhouette came back to life in 2013 with the help of Raf Simmons and its reincarnation goes down as being one of the most popular sneaker drops of all-time. Now, six years later, Adidas is giving the Ozweego another lease of life by enhancing the innovative elements from the original Nineties turning design to give the revamped Ozweego 3 trainers a completely new look and feel. Here’s, your sneak peek…

To celebrate its origins in the fast-paced and carefree attitude of the Nineties, Adidas’ new drop will come in a range of Day-Glo colour hies, from orange to acid green as well as all-back to light violet.

Be sure to grab the brand-new Adidas Ozweego’s when these five colourways hit the shelves next week – Thursday August 8th 2019.
