Ever since the new £300 million deal between Arsenal and adidas was announced last year, the first kit drop of the partnership has been one of the most hotly anticipated releases of the year – and it’s safe to say that the club’s home kit for next season lives up to expectation.

The club’s new home jersey pays homage to adidas shirts of the past with a distinctively North London twist. The kit’s design is directly inspired by Arsenal’s past, particularly the period between 1986 and 1994 when adidas last  worked with the club.

The all-new home shirt for the 2019/20 season features a classic all-over red body, contrasted by classic white sleeves and two-tone collar. The collar is arguably the stand-out feature of the kit, with a central red stripe and black trimming that also appear on the sleeves. The design is then finished with adidas’ classic three stripes along each shoulder in bright white.

The kit was unveiled by players from across the men’s and women’s team including Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Reiss Nelson, Vivianne Miedema and Leah Williamson.

The Arsenal home kit is available now from via the adidas online store, and keep an eye out for the away kit to be revealed in the near future.

In other kit related news, adidas recently debuted the away jersey to be worn by Real Madrid this season.
