Inspired by terrace fashion and contemporary style, the new jersey focuses on life beyond the pitch

PSV have flown under the radar a little bit this summer, especially in the midst of all the other footballing news emanating from The Netherlands – namely the regeneration of Ajax, De Ligt’s big move to Juventus and more music videos from Memphis Depay. Anyway, the Dutch club have put themselves back into the topic of conversation with the release of its brand-new third jersey for the 2019/20 season.

A club founded not for glory, but for community, PSV Eindhoven always seek to remain true to their core values of unity and closeness to the fans – no matter how much domestic and international success and recognition comes their way. For its new third jersey, both PSV and Umbro have embraced the cultures and connections that football can inspire and build far away from any pitch, to drop a new khaki-lead kit.

Umbro’s standout collaboration with the Dutch club focusses on a simple and understated sage green, street style-inspired third shirt. With subtle detailing – the “woven” material design, green-tone crest, and club motto “Eendracht maakt macht” (Unity makes strength) on the back of the neck – it might just be one of the best alternate jerseys around.

The primarily two-colour khaki and white design gives the jersey a smart, minimalist feel, while the understated tonal white and grey ‘shattered diamond’ detailing across the shoulders provides a sleek, contemporary edge, taken directly from Umbro’s latest street style releases.

Of all the kits released so far, how are you rating this one?
