Nike Launch ‘Dream Further’ Film Ahead of Women’s World Cup

The fervour around the 2019 Women’s World Cup in France is at an all-time high and Nike continue to stir the excitement with a whole host of new apparel and footwear drops that are dedicated to the biggest women’s competition of all-time. This week, the sportswear giants have released its first football jersey designed specifically for girls. The ‘Dream Further’ jersey embodies the spirit of the women’s game and acts a further encouragement for girls around the world to take their dreams further. 

The mantra of the entire design – “Don’t change your dream. Change the world. Just do it.” – is printed inside the jersey from the inside out, while, the unique camera-flash pattern reflects the phenomenon of the world is watching. 

Elsewhere, the two custom-designed patches depict unity and confidence, reflecting the power of operating and playing together as a team. Overall, the understated design brings an important message to the field – change the world through sport. 

To complement the first ever kids-only football shirt, Nike has also dropped an inspirational short-film centred around the Women’s World Cup, featuring a whole host of star players who come together to spread the ‘Dream Further’ campaign. 

Leading players from both the women’s and men’s game, including Neymar, Alex Scott, Fran Kirby, Phillippe Coutinho, Crystal Dunn, Sam Kerr and Gerrard Pique follow the steps of 10-year-old Makena Cook as takes to the field as a mascot for the Netherland’s national team before being taken on an inspirational journey through football.
