Following the announcement of the extended partnership between Nike and Paris Saint-Germain, the two have unveiled their latest 2019-20 home kit that pays homage to their successful 30-year-long partnership.

The new Nike x PSG home kit fittingly celebrates 30 years of fraternity with a modern interpretation of a historic look with the bold stripe at centre formed by three equal bars — white, red, white.

Made with a raglan sleeve construction and V-neck collar, the shirts are detailed with Nike’s Swoosh and PSG’s emblem on the right and left sides of the upper chest. Alongside its logo, the words “Accor Live Limiteless” is stamped at the center, while “Paris” is placed on the back of the collar. The new kit is the first to have been dropped since PSG announced that Fly Emirates would no longer be the club’s shirt sponsor, with French hospitality company ‘Accor’ serving as the replacement.

On the launch of the kit, PSG star striker Kylian Mbappé mentioned: “I have always been a huge fan of Nike, and it’s great news that they will be making PSG kits long into the future. The new kit is really beautiful, really classic and it’s nice to see the stripe back on the home shirt. I am sure the fans will be really happy with it.”

Nike’s senior design director of football apparel, Pete Hoppins added: “Given the anniversary, we felt it was only right to introduce a modern interpretation of the historic jersey and produce one really true to the club’s identity.”
