The Turin club will now be known as Piemonte Calcio on the FIFA franchise

The Turin club will now be known as Piemonte Calcio on the FIFA franchise

Following on from the arrival of its first trailer — and name change from Pro Evolution Soccer – eFootball PES 2020 has now launched an exclusive partnership with Juventus. The deal, which has been announced by developer Konamimeans that the upcoming game “will be the only console video game that will feature the club’s name, crest and stadium.” The announcement offers a hark back to days gone by; where a lot of you will remember the discomfort of playing as ‘Merseyside Reds’ and ‘West London Blue’ instead of the certified names, clubs and numbers.

Although, it isn’t clear exactly what this means for FIFA 20, the game’s main rival from EA Sports, it certainly is something that will shake up the look and feel of the next game in the series, after FIFA 19 featured Juventus’ very own Cristiano Ronaldo on the cover. What we do know is the Turin club’s Allianz Stadium will likely be replaced with a stock stadium, and EA Sports has gone on to announce that the team will instead be called Piemonte Calcio on FIFA 20

Alongside the big Juve announcement, Konami revealed that 17 Juventus players — including Ronaldo — will have their likeness added to the game for the first time. Which is a necessity in today’s gaming world. Additionally, Pavel Nedved will appear on the game as an exclusive legend player.

Take a look at the announcement trailer above, and expect eFootball PES 2020 to arrive on September 10th.
