The NBA point guard makes himself at home in North London…

Ever since adidas officially reunited with Arsenal they’ve pulled out all the stops to celebrate the reunion. This week, they’ve gone one step further by inviting NBA superstar and one of the best point guards in the game, James Harden, down to the Emirates as part of his London x adidas tour.

Harden is one of the most prolific scorers in NBA history as well as being a seven-time All-Star, so having him turn up in North London shows exactly the kind of impact the new three stripes x Arsenal link up is having around the world. It was no ordinary visit, though. The Houston Rockets point guard was given a tour of the stadium by the young Gunners winger Reiss Nelson, with both players adorning the new Arsenal home kit for the 2019/20 season, Harden’s bearing his name and lucky number 13.

Following a quick tour around the stadium, the two athletes got down to playing some ball. Harden even tried to save the football playing the role of a goalkeeper but unfortunately, the basketball star seemed unaware of how to stop the ball as Nelson easily managed to easily score past the point guard. At one point, Harden appeared to be demonstrating the proper way to shoot a basketball to Nelson using a football while the football player was holding a basketball in his hand. Harden couldn’t get near the crossbar challenge with his feet but he did nail it first time when he opted for his signature free-throw release.
