An insightful look into the life and mind of the Liverpool striker

One of London’s finest directors Gabriel Moses has linked up with Liverpool and Belgium striker Divock Origi to unveil an intimate short film titled ‘A Portrait of Divock Origi.’

Speaking about the film, Moses said, “The aim of the film was to paint a picture of Divock as a human being as opposed to a footballer, through a series of portraits & vignettes – they are almost like moving still images.”

Having previously worked alongside Off-White, Matthew Williams Alyx and Obey Giant founder Shepard Fairey as well as sporting talent such as British light heavyweight Joshua Buatsi, and Chelsea and England forward Callum Hudson-Odoi, the 21-year-old Moses is fast building a formidable reputation for his beautifully composed film and photography. For his latest venture, Gabriel has captured the balance and beauty in the career of the young Belgian striker. Origi himself provides a personal account of what motivates him as a person in the film’s dialogue, which explores his recent life living in Liverpool while capturing him overlooking the city and in the stands at Anfield.
