“Giving back to the continent that inspired us to create our label has always been a dream for us.”

6th February 2020

“Giving back to the continent that inspired us to create our label has always been a dream for us.”

Following on from the launch event of their collaboration with PUMA back in 2017, which saw Daily Paper opening a brand new football facility in Accra, Ghana, the brand’s founders, Hussein Suleiman, Abderrahmane Trabsini and Jefferson Osei recently headed back to the same football facility to host a tournament that united the local creative community.

Over the last couple of years, Daily Paper have been on a mission to support the development of sport amongst young footballers and empowering them for the future. This year, they returned to the exact football pitch, inviting the extended friends and family to participate in a football tournament on Sunday 5th January. The tournament involved six teams of both men and women who all played against each other in their own custom made football shirt designed by Daily Paper.

Alongside Daily Paper, the line-up of teams included the following African creatives and athletes: La Meme GangFree the YouthStarboyEunice Beckmann and Melanin Unscripted.
